VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY AND ITS ASSOCIATION WITH RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS
Main Article Content
Abstract
Vitamin D deficiency is a global public health concern, particularly in South Asia, where it has been linked to an increased risk of respiratory infections. This article explores the association between vitamin D deficiency and respiratory infections, examining the underlying mechanisms, epidemiology, clinical manifestations, and potential therapeutic strategies. We analyze data from Pakistani populations, highlighting the prevalence of deficiency and its impact on respiratory health outcomes. The study includes statistical correlations, biochemical pathways, and clinical trial insights, providing a comprehensive understanding for healthcare professionals and researchers.
